Good-bye, Mummo

My husband's grandmother passed away yesterday at the ripe old age of 95. We just saw her the last weekend of March when we celebrated her birthday. At that time she was doing fine. She went to the hospital on Wednesday because she was having trouble breathing. While there she found out that she had suffered a heart attack. Yesterday we were told that they had found a tumor in her lungs, and then 20 minutes after recieving that call we got another saying that she has passed away. She was a very funny lady, and even though I never understood what she was saying she made me laugh. I am very fortunate to have had the opportunity to have met her on several occasions. Please keep our family in your hearts and prayers.

You can come out now warm weather!

As much as I am going to miss my husband when I visit NC in May, I am going to enjoy some nice, warm weather. The weather here is finally beginning to warm up a bit, but I won't be able to wear flip flops until about the 2nd week of June. Wearing them around the apartment just isn't doing it for me!! And I hate still having to wear a coat, and sometimes my gloves whenever I go. Not only will I be enjoying the weather, I will also be enjoying my family and friends that I haven't seen in about a year. The past (almost) eleven months have just flown by. I don't feel as though I have been away from the U.S. that long. It takes looking at a calendar for it all to really sink in. Finland is great in the Summertime though, so if anyone is wanting to get away to a place where the temperature is about 75 degrees with no humidity this is the place to visit!

I'm Rich?!?

So...a few days ago I recieved an e-mail informing me that I had won a substantial amount of money. Supposedly it comes from when my husband and I purchased my e-tickets for my trip home. The funny thing is that the e-mail I provided with my ticket purchase was not the e-mail that these lovely people sent this *winning* e-mail to. Hm...oh well...I can always pretend as though I am 850 thousand pounds richer. I posted the e-mail below.... :-) Apparently I am not the only one who has recieved it. Playing with food?

Ever wonder what grocery store employee's do when they get bored? Well, this is a clip of a few guys at a K-market in Helsinki playing with the food. And by playing I mean dominos, not actually touching and playing with the food.
